As someone who has grown up in this part of the country, I can definitely attest that this personality is real. It’s a culture of Minnesotans and of Midwestern’s that, more often than not, most others don’t understand. Learning another culture is enriching, but navigating one is much more complicated.
However, Just because Minnesota Nice is a learned culture doesn’t mean that it’s free from its downfalls.
